Hoursbill ("we", "our", "us") is a desktop application for invoice creation and time tracking. Our website is hoursbill.com. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at hello@hoursbill.com.

2. What data we collect

We collect minimal data to operate our website and process purchases:

• Contact form: name and email address when you send us a message.
• Purchase data: when you buy Hoursbill through our checkout provider (Lemon Squeezy), they collect your name, email, and payment details. We do not store payment card data ourselves.
• Analytics: we use Google Analytics to collect anonymised usage statistics (pages visited, country, device type). No personally identifiable information is stored.
• Download logs: our server may log your IP address and the file downloaded when you download the trial installer.

3. How we use your data

• To respond to your support or contact requests.
• To deliver your licence key and download link after purchase.
• To understand how visitors use our website and improve it.
• To comply with legal obligations.

4. The desktop application

Hoursbill is a local desktop application. All your invoices, client data, and time records are stored on your own device. We do not receive, access, or store any data you create inside the app.

5. Third-party services

• Lemon Squeezy — payment processor and licence delivery. Their privacy policy applies to purchase data: lemonsqueezy.com/privacy.
• Google Analytics — website analytics. Data is anonymised and subject to Google's privacy policy.
• Web3Forms — contact form processing. Messages are forwarded to our email.

6. Cookies

We use cookies only for analytics (Google Analytics). You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Data retention

Contact form messages are kept for up to 12 months. Purchase records are kept for 7 years for legal and accounting purposes. Analytics data is retained for 14 months by Google.

8. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export any personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@hoursbill.com. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Children

Hoursbill is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
